International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study of the interactions between sovereign states and the various actors in the global arena, including international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and multinational corporations. It involves the analysis of foreign policies, diplomacy, conflict resolution, and global governance. The field explores concepts such as power, security, and international law, and examines how countries cooperate or compete for resources, influence, and stability. IR also considers the impact of global issues such as economic development, human rights, and environmental challenges on international affairs. By employing theories such as realism, liberalism, and constructivism, scholars and practitioners seek to understand and explain the behaviors of states and other entities within the international system, as well as to provide insights into conflict prevention and resolution, policy-making, and the promotion of peace and cooperation among nations.
