Ukraine declared independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, and this event is celebrated annually as Independence Day on August 24. The nation has faced various political and economic challenges, particularly in relation to its geopolitical position between Europe and Russia. Ukraine has a significant agricultural sector and is one of the world’s largest grain producers.
